I'm getting a real itch for an 1894. The pistol grip of a 336 works a lot better for me than the straight stocks. I've researched SG to PG conversions and am pretty comfortable with being able to make that work. (I build race cars and stuff.) I also need to significantly increase the length of pull.
Rather than hacking up an original stock, I'd like to throw on a replacement and keep the original parts original in case I ever get bored with the whole deal. Looks like the least expensive option is the Champion synthetic, a bit more than $50 for butt and fore end online. Reviews say they drop some weight compared to the wood, which would be a good thing. I could beat the crap out of the synthetic, drill holes in it, glue stuff to it, etc. and not feel bad.
Anyone have experience with these parts? Horrible, decent, wonderful, other?

The straight grip to pistol is easy if you have an extra lower tang/lever for the pistol grip. Just simply swap out the parts.
Are you looking for an 1894 in 357 or 44? The 44's have end caps, I believe the champion synthetic stocks have a barrel band fore end, which the 44 mags use the end cap & 357's generally have barrel bands. I have never used one of the champion stocks but I do remember someone saying they felt cheap and hollow. MPI makes some really nice synthetic stocks if that is what your after, but they are pricey. Take a look at marlin owners.com, there is a TON of info over there on marlins, and sg/pg conversions etc.
I just picked up a buttstock & forearm from Numrich for a 336, the buttstock is real nice (intended for a special 1894 run) w/ a curved buttplate, but the forearm is more of the birch 336AW style wood which is not anything special.
Other than that, I would check gunbroker/ebay for used stocks. If you look enough I'm sure you'll be able to find something. Also boyds has a good reputation. I would say in general your looking at anywhere between $75 and $150 for new furniture for an 1894.
