New Years Day the dogs needed a bit of exercise, so we took a ride in the hills hoping to see a jack to shoot.. Not long in to the trip, I shot one with the 1911 .45, since I am not as good as Shrapnel and MacKay, I hit a bit far back.. Before I could shoot again, the chase was on.. On our way home, we spotted several jack sitting in the willows across the creek.. We potted two with the .22-250 adl, but it was too far to hike over and collect them so we left them for coyote bait.. But in the last ranch we could hunt, we spotted another just right for the S & W 4" .357.. 140 gr.
