Good job.. I used to kill a lot of coyotes this time of year that were hunting for antelope fawns.. Yesterday, rolled one twice, but couldn't keep him down..

Fieldgrade(Charlie) and I got together some days back and made a ground squirrel foray. He packed his custom-barreled .17 Fireball and I brought my custom-kmart 223 RAR. FG is a gentleman of the highest order to shoot varmints with. He doesn't hog all the shots, talk when your about to shoot or shake the pickup if you are using it for a rest. I kinda wondered why he was loading concrete blocks into his pack when we left the pickup, but later on I found out why... We got to bull-chitting too much and often one of us would say, "That squirrel has been standing there for 10 minutes somebody really should shoot it." Neither of us missed a single shot over 300 yards on this day so we were on our game pretty good. Charlie counting coup on this big'ol boar squirrel that chased the poor settlers off their homestead some years back. Anyway, we left plenty for seed and pretty much solved most of the country's problems and found all that is right with world. Took this pic thinking it was some kind of flowering native plant. Got home and looked in my plant book to find out it is called Creeping Buttercup and considered "invasive" Next time we better pack 2-4D instead of varmint rifles...

OH.....and don't let Lonny BS you....that little suppressed "Wal Mart" 223 of his is one sweet shooting rig....

Nash, me and the dog snuck out right by the house again this evening... Had a good hunt. I got this male at 250ish as he was leaving(after Nash missed a chip shot )... Serenade and ki-yi's brought him in on a run. The little red x is where he was..... Feel kind of dirty shooting them this time of year, but it is what it is. Fun, exciting calling, that's for sure. Currently in ND with some of my buddies from Kentucky and Missouri on our second annual prairie dog shoot. We killed at least 800 yesterday. I head shot this one at 60 yards with the pistol yesterday...

Nice work Don... We just shot 3 days in ND and easily killed over 1000 dogs. The wind picked up toward the end and put a damper on things, but we dang sure put a dent in it...
