We didn't have a couple spices, stuff we don't like anyway. So we skipped them. Really it's just simple brine cured beef. And the meat was just a couple of roasts that were on sale. Brisket is hard to get here, unless you buy a 40# box. Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
