Sako Roughtech Pro thoughts? experiences? Anyone got any experience with these. I'm a walnut and blue type but I'm thinking a nice foul weather rifle may be in the works.

If that's the A7, I highly recommend. Just wish it had a floorplate rather than the magazine.

I have one that I bought from Cabelas on special chambered in 7MM rem mag. It took about 50 shots to break in the barrel(from a cleaning perspective) dead accurate , I have had zero issues and feels great in the hands. Listed weight per Beretta is 6.8 lbs but the actual weight of mine is 7 lb 9 ounces. I have a Swaro 3.5-10x42 on it in talley lightweights. The Stock is a porker at 46 ounces and it is not a Bell and Carlson stock either . I am going to replace the stock one of these days . I have fired 2 rounds hunting and killed 2 bucks, probably going to keep it. grin

I have the A7 big game from cabelas in .270... It's a fantastically accurate rifle w 130 fusions (0.5 moa). I have a conquest 3-9 mounted on it in Talley lw's. I haven't weighed it but I don't find the stock to be overly hefty...I do believe this has the B&C on it, not sure what stock the roughtech has.

take the stock off if it weighs 46 ounces give or take it is the sako designed stock(aluminum skeleton throughout) . It feels like a B&C but slimmer and maybe B&C make it for Sako don't know but it is different then the regular medalist which weighs 32 ounces for that action.

The Roughtech stock is different than the Cabelas A7 Big Game stock. The big game is a bell and Carlson.

I have a Cabelas A7 big game it is the same thing as a roughtech. If it is a Bell and Carlson it is not built like any B&C stock and weighs 14 ounces then the average B&C.

When I had one of these there was a video on the Cabelas website that confirmed it was the same stock. Not sure if it is still there or not.
