Invited to apply at the last minute. Naturally we would have to draw the tags. What can you tell me, not looking for honeyholes just general info. Will be researching later this evening. Early sept archery. Thanks.

I've never hunted up there so I can't offer any insight but isn't the deadline for non residents 1/31.

Made the deadline. Hopefully we draw or we put in for NM. Have a 2 week tour with SF Ballet to DC that's getting in the way of a latter hunt.

I've hunted back in by North Horsecreek, for deer. Used to be some nice whitetails back there years ago. I remember lots of benches and spurs off the sides of the foothills, and numerous small stands of pine and aspen. Wooded bowls sunk down within the mountains. Some private ranches back up against the foothills, good meadows, grass. Last couple years I heard more reports of Grizzly, but I haven't been back hunting out that way for a good 7yrs. I don't know if McDougals Gap is in area 92, but often heard it was a good elk hunting area. I know its near there somewhere.

Seems that 94 is the unit we put in for. Sorry for the mistake?

There's a lot of elk in both 92 and 94, but also a lot of hunters. Normal stuff like get away from the road, leave and come back to camp in the dark etc...
