Had to replace the front Wheel bearings anyway, so made the leap to get the warn hubs on as well. Now I can run this beast down the highway without turning several hundred pounds of gearing and pumping all that heavy diff oil. Most folks claim a 1.5 MPG improvement on long highway trips?

While it was up on the jacks I swapped the shocks with Bilstien 5100's and replaced the front axles Ball joins and U joints. Did the rear shocks too. My Brakes are still at 50% and I have 114,000 miles, and 11 years old. The longest I have ever had brakes last!

I used the Spyntech kit which had every part and made the job easy. Except for getting those old sealed bearing out. They were in there 11 years now and spent their life off road and on a farm for the majority!

The Decision to keep this thing and refurbish it has gone well so far. All the body work and paint is done, no more dents or scratches. The big pain there was finding a new tail gate. Mine was trashed. Lucky I found one for 150 bucks on crags list! The body shop sprayed it the same color as the truck and added the bedliner to match the bed.

The New tires are going on today. Toyo AT2's 35-12.50 X 17". Down sizing from the 37" Toyo MT's. Now with my 4.10 axle ratio I will be back to stock power with the 35" tires. (Stock is 3.73 with 31" tires) So the same ratio now as 4.10 and 35" tires.

Looking for a new MP3/ blue tooth radio now for the cherry on top!

I did the spyntech hubs a little over a year ago. I have been really happy with them.

Yes, 1.5-2 mpg better. Plus no wear and tear of the entire front drive train.
