I had made a pot of sauce from ground elk and elk Italian sausage last Sunday. This afternoon my wife and I made ricotta. This evening I assembled it all with grated soft Asiago and mozzarella (which we thought about making). She tossed a salad of greens from the garden, tomatoes, bellpepper, cucumber, Feta, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. It was killer. Ed, that sounds really good!

Damn y'all sure do eat some fine stuff! As usual, last night was Wednesday night Red Baron night. And as a big plus[beyond adding bacon] we had a few shrooms left in fridge and really kicked it up a notch. Red Baron pizza, add pulled pork that has not been sauced, provolone or muenster cheese, or both, and finely, finely, chopped Vidalia onions, better than, well, you know, crunchy peanut butter !!!! Listen hear woman, hain't nuthin better'n crunchy PB,heck Reeses even came out with a crunchy version. As a side: may have to try some pulled pork next time I cook some. And I often add some cheese or onions or both, contemplated onions last night but didn't want to over do it since I was already adding baby portabellas. Don't want to get too highfalutin! Actually, it's amazing how our dinners have changed being empty nesters.

Peanut butter is supposed to be creamy, peanuts are supposed to be crunchy. There isn't supposed to be something in between.

Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad I used Rotini, Asiago cheese croutons, cracked pepper encrusted grilled chicken breast, Romaine lettuce, grated Parmesan, creamy caesar dressing (I used lots of garlic), and crumbled bacon strips. Delicious ! And enough left for lunch tomorrow !

I have a nice fresh yellow fin tuna fillet for tonight Nice! I've got a friend that kills it with yellow fin tuna on the grill. Quick marinade, sprinkle of sesame seeds, and fast sears both sides. Quickly becomes the center of attention at group get togethers. Yep, sounds great. Sushi & sashimi too !! NEED PICS DAN !!

NICE !! Guess I should have read forward first. I do have one question, however; It's only 10 after 5 & you've eaten already. You must be older than I imagined, or than you look in your pictures. You know, about the Poobah's age !

Running late tonight, so just grabbed a multigrain baguette, got deer summer sausage & deer kielbasa, with pork loin chunks as the "ham" chunks, a large wheel of triple cream brie, bread & butter pickles, green & kalamata olives & a bottle of J.Lohr chardonnay, & a wife waiting at home. I hope, but know, you both enjoyed the meal! Yep as did son #3. Left over lasagna in a few minutes.

I've bought those before. Not bad. There's another flavor I like but I can't remember which one it was.

Pan seared lamb shoulder chops and broccolini with some herbed cheese curds. Quick, simple, and pretty tasty.
Paul, those soups look pretty good, will have to keep and eye out for them out here.

I took my wife out for fondue tonight. Cheese, bread, veggies and apples to start, beef sirloin and scallops to finish. Sort of a belated Valentine's dinner. It was very good. She was very happy.
