It may not make much difference in what you pay per gallon right now, but when gas goes to $4 a gallon again, it makes a big difference.
Anything that fugger can do to destroy America, and it's industry, he will try. The treasonous bassturd hates oil and will do anything to get rid of it including destroying this country.

State + fed = 56 cents per gallon tax here in NC
The Gov't makes more off a gallon of fuel than the oil companies

While it does not divorce me from the all of the implications, I am so damn happy to not be working at this time. There is little worse than being in a senior manager in major oil during a downturn. Telling someone there job is gone...

Yeah I love the "going for infrastructure" comment . I thought all fuel taxes state and federal went to rebuild highway and road infrastructure. More money for the obongo vacation fund.
This more then anything tells you the mentality of this very [bleep] up individual.

There is little worse than being in a senior manager in major oil during a downturn. Telling someone there job is gone... Tell that to the senior managers and owners in other industries that their layoffs are less important. The oil industry must have really thought they had the world by the short hairs. In the end they are effected buy supply / demand just like any other industry.

What BamBam proposes is a "back door tax" per barrel of oil... to the oil companies.
Like that won't be passed on to the consumer at the pump and every other outlet of oil products.

To put this "tax" in dollars... In 2013 the U.S. oil production was 7,441,000 barrels. http://www.indexmundi.com/energy.aspx?country=us&product=oil&graph=productionA $10 per barrel tax would be $744,100,000.00 dollars per anum. It would come from somewhere. Want to guess from where?

Obama almost had a good idea. What he should have proposed was an immediate $10 per barrel oil import tariff. Saudi Arabia has manipulated the global price of oil to destroy our domestic oil production industry. We should not let that happen.

To Obama, the fossil fuel industry is a target to destroy in a feeble attempt to prop up the renewable industry. Like coal, he'd rather destroy it than allow it to prosper. Look for a continuation of the policy from the two democrat socialists.

oil ran up for 15 years as I recall. Every damn thing went up in price because of fuel.

oil ran up for 15 years as I recall. Every damn thing went up in price because of fuel. Including the stock market, investment and retirement accounts, average wages and earned income, and employment. Of course, those are "evils" in the minds of socialists (like yourself), so it's no wonder you avoid those facts like the plague. Here, you're advocating for ANOTHER governmental increase in the price of gas, when the already existing taxes to support infrastructure are being wasted by the government. Logic and clear thinking, as evidenced, has never been your strong suit.
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

The discussion should be whether or not the weaselly Republican Congress will go ahead, let him do it?

Why should Bam Bam worry? Wonder how long it's been since HE paid for his gas?
