Was on the spotter looking for coyotes and seen a few PD's out before the blizzard hits. Ranged them from the deck, and went to work. Tried a double at 565 and only got one. The tuther one run to another mound. I waited until things lined up........grin

Shot from the deck of 'the little-shack-on-the-flats'. The wind is down, must be the calm before the storm.Hard to see my house without zooming the camera....

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Wyo I've been slackin' off on cats this year, laffin'.. I've got about a dozen cat sets out so far, this time last year I had around 80 out. Plus there's way less sign. I'm going to set a few new areas in the morning, so hopefully I'll have one before long. Dad caught this one in a snare a week or so ago.. Stinks that cat prices have tanked, cause this is a dandy. Here it is put up.

A guy carrying a butt pad must really be planning on having to fix his truck! laugh

Cool critters-as always- and a pretty nifty little Marlin!

Winter is starting to wind down and I'm about done until next year.

A couple males.

Back in the day, some homesteader spent Oct 5, 1928 building this springbox. No house left anymore, but I've heard that once upon a time somebody had a house near this spring. I lifted the cover, reached in and cupped out enough handfuls of water to quench my thirst.

Charlie, I've been giving them to a kid who has been trying his hand at trapping and hunting them. I don't think he is doing very well catching or killing and he is happy to take them.

Normally I do when the price is worth the effort. I had a guy who bought and wanted them in the round, but I got tired of getting beat up over a few dollars and listening to him point out every flaw so I quit going to him.

Last year and this year I've been giving them all to the kid. Last year he did real well, well enough that I started to think maybe I should get a cut smile But he did all the work and is a darn good kid.

Not a bad way to end the season. Only 9 more months and I'll be after them again. Now to decide to sell local, ship to NAFA, or drive to Livingston for the Western States Sale in a couple weeks
