Walter, the jury is still out on this Wilson barrel, I need to shoot it more and do some load development. Right now I am not totally thrilled with the Wilson barrel. The gun with scope, LT-104, B5 stock, 10 rounds of ammo in a metal magazine is 8.2 pounds.

My load development consisted of figuring the maximum load, deducting about .5 grain and loading them up for the 85 TSX, I need to work with this more, today if doing it again I would get a LW midlength gas BHW barrel.

I have an 18" bhw lightweight mid 264 lbc/grendal. I'm running 123 amax's at 2500 and they are usually sub moa and sometimes I've even done 1/4 moa. I like the grendel because the higher BC bullets do well at longer ranges.

However, I've thought I'd like a 6.8 too. It looks like it'd work well and I always see deals on loaded ammo for it. I saw the PSA $9.99 deal and realized I can't even get empty grendel brass for that. SPS has also had some good deals on 6.8 bullets at times too. I picked up some 100g and 110g accubond 2nds for cheap and tried them at about 3500 from a 270 win.

I've though about getting an X-caliber 6.8 barrel while they're cheap and giving one a try.

I like the 6.8, it makes pretty good velocity in a 16.5 inch barrel. I am going to try those factory SST's next deer year, they had them at academy sports until I started looking for them, now all they have are the 110VMAX.
