Not sure if the backpack forum is the best location for this, but I'm looking for opinions on a daypack.

I typically hunt in TX and have never found the need for a quality daypack (insulated blinds, feeders, etc.), but I have an Aoudad hunt at +/- 7000ft later this spring and a NM cow elk hunt in October. I'm in the market now and I've looked at Badlands and Eberlestock. Something to carry a day's gear, preferably with provisions for a gunboot or scabbard. I'm also fairly small-framed and a minimalist pack would be preferred. The Eberlestock Gunrunner currently appears to be my best option. The scabbard will be handy when calling predators close to home as well. Anybody spent any time with this pack and care to give a review? Also, any others I should look at given the info above?

I like mine a lot, but tends to be a little top heavy with barrels over 22"
