...you guys might recall me mentioning I had been interviewed and filmed for a short documentary called "His Name is Midnight," the story of a Montana ranch gelding that ends up on the east coast where he is abused to the point that state officials almost had him put down. Finally, I've heard that the film will premier this March at the Durango Film Festival in early March and the Garden State Film Festival in late March. There are two trailers on the His Name is Midnight FB page and one trailer on www.HisNameisMidnight.com The voice-overs you hear on the two trailers are excerpts from my interviews. Part of the storyline here is this is an Oswald-bred Quarter Horse and the Oswald line plays a role in my novel, "Looking for Lynne," so I was one of the very few people around who knew the history of the Oswalds. Oswald (b.1945) was an Oklahoma futurity winner who ended up as a ranch stallion in central Montana. He was used extensively in a line-breeding program that produced some unique ranch and rodeo arena mounts.

This looks amazing! Thanks for sharing; I can't wait to see this short film. Mr. Moore, is the novel "Looking for Lynne" available as an e-reader yet?

Sedona, sorry about being so late about checking in. Looking for Lynne is available on Kindle. Also, for everyone else, from tomorrow the 19th through Monday the 22nd, the ebook version of The Breaking of Ezra Riley will be offered for only $0.99. And, for those of you who like western history, unique ranch and rodeo stories, etc... I have really changed the face of my John L. Moore Facebook page. I may PM you, Sedona, seeing as I am so late in responding. :-)

I received your "Riley" book as a Christmas present. Been too busy to start reading it but with the weather moderating I think I may have some spare time to enjoy your book.
