Shaq,

Haven't done it yet, but I'm sorely tempted.

This is equally tempting. But I'd have to drill into the stock and add a picattiny section if I go this route.

I have used an Ultrafire green led on my Marauder for a few years now clipped on the barrel, worked great on possum, beaver and nutria at my old place. The new place has a few possum, red fox and coyotes that will get lit up when I have time.

I intended to order a second C8 with a tail switch so I could scan without moving the Marauder.

We recently cleaned two coons out of the attic of a camp. If it's close range a hand held light with open sights will get it done. If it's at close range no real need to have the light mounted to the gun.

They do have the specialty lights with green or red lenses, which would be better than white.

no pictures, but this is what I did...

Put a 3rd scope ring on the scope with the base mount positioned where you want a flashlight mounted.

Attache a scope base to your mini-mag flashlight with electrical tape. OR... My extras scope ring was set up for 3/8" thick grooves so I used a 6" metal pocket rule taped to the mini-mag.

Attached flashlight to scope via the rings base screws.

It worked and it looked sooo much more tacti-cool than duct taping the flashlight to the gun barrel.

A more practical path IMO is to arrange for some dim lighting in the vicinity of the Hotel Chicken and put a decent red dot on the gun like a regular fella. Try #1 on the brightness scale and keep both eyes open. Works during bright moonlight w/o artificial lights as well.

The Millett SP-1 is a winner for both price and quality. They come from the factory with a front tube extension and Warne rings suitable for a Weaver rail.

Tapco stock.

Scope rings and a Cabela's light fitted with electrical tape on the front rail. Lights up to 90 yards.

All those look cool, I just hold a flashlight along side of the fore end of my shotgun so I can see the front of my barrel and the victim. High brass #4s do the trick for every thing except coyotes. But I live under a rock.

If you have a 10/22, then just get the 10/22 laser that fits on it in place of the front metal band. Works great. It was a part on the 10/22 I got. Works so well the whole family bought the laser to add to theirs. Only problem is the laser doesn't hold it's zero and has to be checked on a regular basis. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Have gotten rid of most possums, skunk, and raccoons. Have shot one coyote with it. Batteries last about two hours and seem to lose zero most often then.

I lived at the previous location eight years, on a fifty acre lake surrounded by libturd's. The place was overrun with coons, nutria and beaver. I tried handheld flashlights, led spotlights, taping led flashlights to the stock and killed a few with each option.

I switched from a rimfire to the Marauder because it was 100% legal, at my new place I have a cop living directly behind me on his acre and at least two other cops in the small community. I will not shoot a rimfire at my current place but it took five minutes to move the light from the Marauder to the 10/22 for the pictures.

The link I posted provides the solution to the problem for 34.00 to you door.

The C8 used a green LED vs a white LED and lens cover, it lasts a long time on one charge.
