I have owned and used the Lost River for 11 years

What do you want to know?

I just bought a slightly used one from another site. It is a Lemhi. About 3000 cu. in. Bought it as a day pack or spike out.
Have heard they are a quality pack. Any experience/comments.

Quality day packs, that can haul meat with the expanding game bag. They do not have frames so don't expect to haul large loads london distances. I have hauled a ewe desert sheep, including head, hide and meat in one load.

I've got a BG haversack and a small chest pack like the Hill People Kit bag. I use both for local treestand hunts when I'm not taking a lot of extra clothes.

Both are well-made and extremely quiet (wool).

I have a First Trip Explorer and it's fantastic. Well engineered, well built, comfortable, durable and silent. I want for nothing in a daypack. I have used it extensively and couldn't be happier.

+1 on the first trip explorer. Carries more than I need during the day, easily packs loose meat. Straps on the back are great for securing layers. Love the pockets on the belt for snacks. Great, well made pack!

My gripe on mine.....Lost River

Heavy vs other pacs in the 1800 range and the lash straps need to be about 12" longer
