I've stuck the zipper on my favorite jacket. It's a 2-way zipper, but I've never used the bottom pull to zip up, just the top pull to zip down.

Apparently I didn't stick the straight thingy far enough in and when I zipped it up the bottom tooth on the right has no counterpart to grip. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the zipper all the way back to the bottom to get the two sides apart. It's a nice Woolrich jacket with a strong metal zipper.

I know it's a small problem amidst all the huge problems Campfire minds usually apply themselves to, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for this.

Thanks.
Steve.

Google it. No joke, Google solved my last zipper issue on a tent.

I was afraid to open this thread but against my better judgment I did.

I do this every once in awhile on my Carhart jacket and end up getting it undone by fiddling with it for awhile.

Ain't much I know but it's all I got.

Try rubbing either bar soap or pencil lead on the zipper & working it back and forth.

I was just hoping you didn't get the beans above the frank.

Try chapstick on your zipper.

And make sure it is Chapstick and not lipstick- the wife will get angry beyond belief if there is lipstick on your zipper!!!

My apologies, because I realize this is absolutely no help, but it brought my favorite Murphys Law to mind.

Slathered some chapstick on it, still couldn't budge until I put both zipper pulls at the bottom and yanked the one side out. Now it's well lubed and shouldn't happen again.

Thanks.
Steve.
