I'm smart enough to spend 2 minutes looking up Trump registered as a republican in 87 till 99 was an independent till 2001 was a democrat till 2009 was a republican then till 2011 then was listed as no party then a republican again.
I also know he gave the maximum to Cruz's PAC in 2014, they talked frequently, Cruz even visited often, Trump said Cruz could have won on repealing Obamacare if the other repubs had aligned with him, they called each other good friends.
I know lots of chit folks say that just ain't so.

Vegas isn't taking into account the ferocity of support for Bernie and their hatred of Hillary. All anyone has to do is read a little bit over at DU and you'll be enlightened. At a minimum, 10% of Sander's supporters won't vote for her and I can imagine that number being as high as 30% as much as they hate her(they really, really hate her). Now Cruz would never get any of that crossover vote but Trump certainly would gain 'some'. How much is up in the air. If I had to guess I would say less than 5%. Add that all together along with trending voter turnout in the primaries and it's looking pretty rosie.
