I have reluctantly concluded that I just cannot make Punkin Center this year.
Wife is away and I have to stay in town to take care of my high school son. I had planned to bring him along, but he plays basketball and they have a tournament that weekend that he must attend, so we must stay and chauffeur him. Bummer.
Quemado is definitely in our sights, though, and I now have a great big all-weather tent to bring.

Good news/great news. Good news is we will be attending the shenanigans, great news- I will be able to shoot. :-) My surgery is going to be scheduled the last week of Feb or 1st week of March. We will either be up Friday night or early Saturday morning.
I will ask this question again before I leave. Is there anything that I need to bring for anybody traveling long distance? Just let me know.

Dennis - Enrique's post reminds me of a question. Which route is shorter from Val Vista/Mesa - up 87 and down 188 to camp, or across US 60 to Globe and up 188 to camp?

Gentlemen (and the rest of you, too),
It seems that I have some family business that needs to be attended to in the Phoenix area, and the timing works out well for me to join you for the weekend.
I will bring some contributions to the food and liquor supply, as well as a few interesting firearms for show-and-tell.
It will be a distinct pleasure to meet and get acquainted in person with some fellow Campfire members. I intend to get there sometime Friday. Count me in.

Hey Kent and Dennis, do you guys need me to bring any liners for the Dutch ovens? I have some 10" and 12" liners if you need them. Also what about firewood. I could bring a couple bundles up.

Bring some liners as I was going to pick some up for dutch oven enchiladas. A 12" fits good in my 14" Wagner, haven't put one in my Lodge 12 so bring a 10" and 12" in case. Wood we should have around camp unless Dennis has scrounged it all... lol Thanks Joe Kent

Count me out compadre's. I'm not going to be able to make it. Family issues. All I'm saying right now. Not a good time. Hopefully I can still make Quemado.

Sorry to hear that, amigo. I was going to check in with you this evening since I had not heard any more from you. Hope that it's nothing earth shaking. Looking forward to seeing you at Armijo Springs, if not sooner.
