It appears we have at least two people interested in having a Savage Fest. One in PA, August time frame and the other In ID, Sept. time frame. I would like to hear from everyone:

If East:

1) will I come? No, maybe, probably, yes

2) display? yes (how many tables), no

3) what would prevent you from coming? distance, time of year, don't want or can't travel, cost...?

If West:

4) will I come? No, maybe, probably, yes

5) display? yes (how many tables), no

6) what would prevent you from coming? distance, time of year, don't want or can't travel, cost...?

Please list your answers, 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 then any comments you have.

East: Yes
Display: May I use the corner of someone else's table, the only 1899 I have worthy of display is my Malcolm scoped H. Maybe I could bring the rest of my rats and share a table with Gary, Joe.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Count me in for 2, wife and I. August dates work as shown by Rick99. Table dimensions are 2' X 6'? Put me in for 2.

Some sort of family emergency would keep me from coming.

A suggestion for Bob if the Fairgrounds space isn't available. You may want to look into local State parks or County parks nearby to see if there are larger meeting rooms/banquet hall space for rent from them.

Some pretty country up that way, Grand Canyon of PA is very scenic. Camp grounds are around but I have no specifics.

Area is very hunter/gun friendly. I've heard it said that outside of Philly and Pittsburgh, it could be Alabama. No disrespect intended to Alabama.

I would probably be able to attend the Eastern Fest, if it is in early to mid-August (could not attend on Aug. 27).

Would need 2 tables.

Family health (and my own, I suppose) could keep me home.

Would not be able to attend the Western Fest.

In Pa? Hell Yeah!

No display

Nothing to hold me back right now except probably have to take the kid back to college on or about Aug 20.

West-Most likely not.

I just mapquested it, 3. 5 hr trip so I could day trip it if the return to school trip is ends up as the same weekend.

I would probably also be available ahead of time to help with whatever needs done.

Sounds interesting

East

1) Maybe - depends on exact date. Might carpool with plab.
2) One table
3) Unforeseen conflict, exact date, illness, etc.

West - No. Too far from Maine.

1. Probably
2. Possibly, but since I doubt I can drive it in a day I hate the thought of overnighting somewhere with a vehicle full of guns. Probably 2 or 3 tables for display.
3. Family or work

4. Probably
5. Probably, would need 2 or 3 tables
6. Family, possibly work

I have to admit I LOVE the thought of a cow elk hunt, but that would be problematic with bringing a dozen guns or more. First what to do with the guns while hunting, and 2nd how to fit both the elk and the guns in the vehicle for the drive back if I was lucky enough to get one. grin

On the other hand, a Pennsylvania show would be great because we'd probably get to meet up with a bunch of guys I haven't seen in 9 years.
