Based upon the input of another forum member here, Dogzapper, the 7mm 120 BT cannot be beat. He has taken countless game animals with it from his 280 AI. You can do a search of his posts and find more information than you can imagine.

I've killed a truck load of deer with them out of 7-08. They are tougher than you would think.

I assume you are talking about the 7mm Nosler 120BT. I have used these in a 7mm-08 AI on 11 head of game. 5 Red deer, 5 Whitetails and 1 Sitka buck. The longest shot was 385yds, the bullet works very well, all DRT. The bullet is tougher than you would think, I would not hesitate at all to use it again. It would work well in your 7-08.

120s and Varget shoot great in my 7 08. R700 mountain rifle. Like others said mild recoil. Can't go wrong.

I wanted to hunt deer with that bullet in my 7x57s, but neither one of them would group them worth a darn, but this is what I know about the bullet.
Silhouette shooters needed a tougher bullet on the rams so Nosler used the 140 grain jacket blank stamping. The 140 grain jacket doesn't get drawn out as far while being formed because the 120 grain is shorter, thus result is a thicker, tougher bullet.

They are all I shoot in my 7-08. Kill what they hit quite well.
