7mm-08: 120 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip, WW brass, 44.0 gr. of RL 15, CCI 200 primer, 3025 fps. 22" barrel. Works well on everything from bobcats and coyotes at least up thru whitetail deer. Very accurate out of both of my rifles so chambered. Try it, you'll like it.

I have never had a 7-08 that wouldn't shoot the above load. Also, this bullet works well in 7-08 at a little higher velocity with Ramshot Big Game if you can find it. The bullet has worked well on game in my experience with the few deer I have killed with it.

52 gr of Big Game has given me great accuracy with more velocity than R15 also. Good thing the load isn't 53 grains cause i don't think it would fit in the case.

I have shot two deer with the 120 gr. bt in a 7mm tcu mv was 2585 fps and both kills were DRT. It would be my first choice for 7-08 type cartridges for deer class game.

I have shot hundreds of them and so has my daughter.

They shoot great and they take down game with authority.

Both shoulders of a buck impact at 3k fps from a 7-08

This is what those 120 gr. NBT do to a full grown cow elk @ 235 yards from a 7mm-08. Through both shoulders, sounded like a ball bat hit a hedge fence post. Dropped her dead.

And yet some guys at my camp use 7mm and 300 mags in case a big whitetail buck shows up. laugh

These were the scapula from that elk I wrote about earlier. That 7mm 120 gr. nbt came to rest against the inside of the skin on the far shoulder (the hole with the quarter near it).

I remember your original post, impressive.

I'm 2 for 2 one shot kills on bulls, but using 140 Partitions.

The only problem I've had with the 120s is that they won't stay inside critters so I can take any of these neat pictures. frown

Never even considered a 120 NBT, thinking it would be too fragile for elk or blackies. Been shooting 140 NABs and NBTs out of my 7-08. Looks like I assumed wrong!

There have been many threads over the years praising this bullet

I've had good results in both 7/08 and 7 Mags

You can't go wrong with those 140 NPT's or AB's, ever.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.
