Can anyone recommend a lodge/guide in the Quebec area for deer. Quebec is a huge province; bigger than many U.S. states combined. Do you mean near Quebec City or do you mean anywhere in the whole province? What type of hunt are you looking for? And bow or rifle? Budget? Feel free to PM me.

If I were looking at Quebec, I would take a hard look at that island.

Anticosti is a good bet, but for larger deer, there are better places. Within about 1 hour and 15 min drive from Montreal, I'd recommend this place: http://kenauk.com/activities/hunting/. They have excellent deep woods deer hunting and great accommodations and reasonable prices. They also offer Moose and Black Bear hunts and excellent fishing. Kenauk Hunting ...hunters are strictly limited to bucks with 6 points or more in order to ensure the conservation of our healthy population of large deer. Statistics: 372 bucks harvested in the last decade, of which more than 15% had field-dressed weights over 200 lbs. Season: last week of October to mid November. Else you can call SEPAQ: http://www.sepaq.com/activites/chasse_cerf/#prettyPhoto[gallery2]/5/ All the best!

My wife have gone there every year since 2003. We have never come home unhappy. Last year was the hardest year we've had yet. 3 days of pouring rain and on the last day it was snowing. I shot the ONLY deer I saw. My wife also killed a deer on the last day of the hunt. Every year has been phenomenal as far as the actual hunting experience. I would recommend it to anyone. We use Sepaq.

My wife and I hunt just down the road a piece. We hunt Chicotte. Would really like to hunt with Rene once, but I understand he retired.

I really enjoyed hunting with Rene Borque. Sorry to here he's retired. Heard nothing but good things about Chicotte. Had people in camp both years that hunted both.

I knew a younger fellow with a balding head. His name was Doug, as I recall, he hunted with Richard Greene at Chicotte and bounced back and forth between Jupiter and Chicotte. He would Jupiter two hunts in a row. He was a great comic around the fire in the evening.
