Did Leica mention any improvements to their US warranty? Their riflescopes seem to have a lot of bang for the buck. But honestly, I can't see myself buying one because of their warranty. I can't help but think that its hurting some of their sales trying to establish a foothold in the scope market.

It is my pleasure to write these reports and share my experiances at the show with the members. I guess some of my teachers would be thrilled that i actually paid some attention in school and learned to somewhat write a review/report.

Leica and I had a long meeting about customer service, warranty issues and the like. I feel they will be showing (the proof is in action not words) how improved they will be in this area.

It's great to hear them acknowledge they have a weakness and want to improve. Competing in the US market will require a long term commitment to a consumer friendly warranty. Companies like Leupold and Swarovski didn't get their reputation for industry standard setting CS over night. They earned it and the marketplace's confidence over the long haul.

Thanks Doug.
I really enjoy reading these as I feel I get insight and gives me ideas as to what to look further into. Of course my first stop shopping for optics is your shop. I have a heavy .308 Win that wears a Burris FFII 4.5-14 that could use something new. A VX-3i might be just the ticket.

Always my pleasure to write these up.
Now comes the fun stuff, all the demos I bought I atarting to arrive. I just received all the S&B demos that I'll be posting up.

On Monday February 1st we are launching a new web site. Same web address, www.cameralandny.com so we are not adding any of these demos to the new address. if anything is of interest please give a call.
We are excited about the new site, however, we are sure they'll be some glitches the first few days so please bear with us. Thanks

After years of success with their Ranger 1000 they have released a longer range addition at $479.99. This is a product I have been hoping for.

For $479.99 I'll be a buyer. Now I'll have to wait for CLNY to get it listed on the website.

Doug,

Did Bushnell provide you any information re: a Legend T spotter 15-45x60 with a mil type reticle? Or is the spotter an internet rumor?

Thanks,

Razor HD LH (Light Hunter 1" Tube) Riflescope
This will be available in... and a 1.5-8x32 ($749.99).

That one has my interest! At 13.4 ounces it checks the boxes. I'll have to get my hands/eyes on one at some point, and will probably have to wait for a sale, but that could be a real sweetheart!

My wallet may not thank you, Doug, but I do!
