This is my Kimber Montana in 308. I have always liked a 308 Winchester and this one has become the centerfire rifle I grab most often. The stock has been built up in several areas to make it feel fuller and then painted. The barrel has been cut back to 20 inches. It is a very consistent shooter and a keeper.

This is my Husqvarna 30/06. I think everybody needs at least one 30/06. This one has the look, feel and accuracy I want at a price that was just ridiculous.

This one is a Remington Mod 7 custom in 338Fed. Just because….I like it and don't care If the 338 Fed is a commercial flop. It does exactly what I want from it and is one handy little thumper. cool

M70 classic FW 30-06 I bought from Brad. I had Redneck put this recoil pad on it. The pic shows a 6x42 but now has a 6x36 with a post & duplex reticle mounted in a low DNZ mount.

Been pretty much a one gun guy for a while. Remington 700 KS in 300 Weatherby, action slabbed, Answer muzzle break, bolt fluted and skeletonized by Karl, Tubbs firing pin, Timney trigger, Swarovski Z-5 in Talleys.

My Faux TI .223 Rem 700 1 in 12" Shoots 50 Vmax and 50 TSX to the same hole. TI take off stock painted by me. Have made some unreal shots with this Jewell its not for sale. Pig and coyote killer...

[Linked Image]

My deer killer 7mm Rem Mag Beretta Mato. Its heavy and cumbersome but It seems to be a big buck attractant as I have killed all my good bucks with it. Even missed one this year with it.

[Linked Image]

And it shoots 140 TSX's into 3 shots groups like this consistently.

[Linked Image]

And 5 shots groups like this. Consistently

There is a 6.5-06 in the works hoping it joins the favorites club this fall.

My current favorite is this Lilja barreled 6.5X284 built by Dan Coffin. It took 3 antelope, a mule deer buck and this elk plus a few coyotes this last year in Wyoming all via 140 AMAX.

I'm also fond of this 20 gauge shotgun (Yes, I realize it is not a rifle) but it has killed every species of upland game (except snowcock, and that ship will sail soon) and all but the most obscure species of waterfowl in the intermountain west.

Of late my 270 Montana. Can't see me using much else unless I am chasing the big bears or buffalo. wink That said, this summer I will haul my 20 year old Rem 700 LaBounty rebored 338-06 up to Idaho for good. A fair bit of critters have dropped to that rifle, a handful of elk, a grizz and a black, a nilgai, hogs, a couple of mule deer. Need something more there than an AR and an old Ruger 44 Carbine there.
