So far I've killed deer in 4 states with this rifle. Mickey Coleman build it for himself and I drove up and bought it from him sometime in 2005.

Sammo,

Don't tell Stick but here's what I've been using for deer and elk the past three years...(I know...I know..they're a goatfück-being fücked by another goat-while a Texan watches!). grin

Not to mention, I've been lobbing boolits with the B.C. of Hillary in a muumuu...

Seriously, I've been in the thick stuff recently and the short length and light weight are a bonus. Don't need tack drivers for one shot!

Nula 7mm-08: Lucky rifle. Too many favorites to pick just one, but if I had to go out and shoot something this would be the one that would go along.

One of my favorites:

.270 on a commercial Mauser action with a Krieger barrel and Larry Caudill stock. I actually gave this one to my son-in-law in December--he wants to start hunting deer with his brother up in Nebraska. I'll miss it, but it went to a good home...

Sam - I'm not sure I have A favorite rifle. I have a few that like/hunt a lot.

I have a Custom 98 Mauser, 284 Win. I'm not finished scoping it and don't have a pic yet.

Please don't make me pick ONE. Just for deer it'd probably be Tikka 270 (???)
