Well mine was 25 years old.... At least is was plastic..

A 6 tray brown and kaki color Plano big old tackle box.

I am now finally upgrading to soft bags with insert utility boxes...

I still remember my dads steel green tackle box with 4 trays in it.

3 or 4 years old - don't remember. Weighs about 40 lbs.

Biggest one Cabela's sells.

Which one, just bought 2 more still not enough room

I just stack 3700s in a Dewalt power tool bag. I have added a couple of 3500s for terminal tackle and one 3600 for small hard baits.

I'm a bit like that. I have them broken down by application: one for saltwater/estuary fishing near home, another for trout, etc. The oldest one's probably 20 years or so.

My original is steel, cost 2 1/4 books of S&H Green stamps and I am guessing purchased late 50s, but hold cleaning/tools for the general shooting firing line.

Then a big hip roof Aluminum from the 72 or so time period,

Thaen a couple of Flambeau plastics and now i actually fish out of a couple of small plastic boxes that fit in my PFD.

Most of my fishing is wading or 12' Old Towne canoe now days.

I likely have the same one the Advanced Angler Super Magnum? Wife got it for my b-day about 6 years ago. It's been okay, but the base is starting to crack and a couple pockets are starting to come unstitched. I'm looking for a replacement this year. Hopefully one without the boxes as I've come to really like the Plano Crankbait 3700 series boxes for a lot of what I do. I do like having a zip up bag that is made for the 3700 dimensions though.

I just recently put my original Plano 747 into the charity donation pile. I bought it back in the early 70s when I started going to local bass tournaments.

Like most of you, I now have different kinds of tackle in many smaller boxes. Spoons in one, jigs in another, floating cranks, sinking cranks, deep divers, and miscellaneous hard baits in others. I keep spinnerbaits in a folding wallet, as I also do with my pre-tied ice-fishing rigs.

I'm considering a further categorizing method based either on the destination lake or fish species. That would require buying other small tackle boxes and lots more sorting.

On occasion I still take out my fathers and grandfathers metal tackle box. Some of the lures date back to the 1920's or so. There is one old Jitterbug in there that is still my favorite top water lure ever. Something about the way it performs but bigger bass love it, smaller ones avoid it.

Got my oldest in 1986. Flambeau 2706, 3 trays. It's 17" wide and 8" deep, 8" tall. Won't tip over.

I've got a couple of others that are fish specific but this one holds enough different proven lures and tackle to cover the stuff I usually use for boat and lake shore fishing; bass, trout, catfish & panfish. Got my money's worth on this one.

I had an old aluminum tackle box I bought when I was 16 (I am now 63). I used it exclusively until about 4 years ago when I backed a trailer over it and bent the darn thing.

It was much sturdier made than the plastic cheapies they make now.

I now use a bag-style with plastic trays.
