Hey guys I have one of these mods for my 223 and have it all installed but sometimes it doesn't always feed the best in my predator. Once in a while the tip on a 75 grain amax will come out high and stick on the high side of the chamber and I have to back the bolt back a bit and slide ahead again.

What did I do wrong here and has anyone else had the problem and how did you remedy it?

Thanks

You did nothing wrong. The feed lips are too tight on your factory mag.

When it does this, the feed lips are too tight.

Just right....

Just use a Dremel or fle to open it up a bit. Make sure your follower has enough tension as well. It's adjusted by twisting the spring.

And before anybody asks -- I don't have any. The damn ram is still stuck. It hasn't worked a day since I've had it....period.

I have 3 RAR mags that feed the first and 4th cartridges OK but the 2nd and 3rd hang up. It's a .308 Winchester. I've tried both factory and handloads in both .308 and .243 and it's the same for all. Any fixes for this? Thanks.

I don't know what would cause that could be spacing of the lips or the spring would be my guess.

I have been playing with mine and it will feed anything that I put in there in any bullet weight but gets a little funky once in a while with the 75 grain amax. 75 grain bthp, 69 grain smk, all fine but the amax wants to stick sometimes almost like its to pointy.

Is this symptomatic of early models, or an ongoing issue?

Kinda like the rifle, but not keen on DMs, especially ones that don't work.

i dont think its a major issue i have talked to quite a few guys that have them and the biggest complaint that they have is that sometimes they are a little stiff to load.

In my 223 the only load that gives me any issues is the 75 grain amax and even then its only once in a while.

s.a.s., Could you describe how to do this? Thanks.
