After reading the thread about the truck gun I found myself the owner of one, I contacted mtnboomer here on the fire and he agreed to work his magic on mine.

While the stock was at MB's I decided that I did not need the 10 round mag, so I cut off all the unwanted parts, fabbed up a filler piece, glued them all together
and it came out looking like this.

When I first got the rifle I made a filler piece to fit the mag opening turning it into a single shot.

So now I have a rifle that holds all the ammo that I need and looks pretty good too.

Mb finished the stock with some primer and paint giving it a smooth finish.
Here's MB's work in progress

When it was all done it looked like this on the scale.

Looks really good. I'm digging the pattern of the hydro dip.

Let us know how it shoots.

Nice looking rig. Really like the stock. Pretty cool truck gun.

This is 223, the action is very small and would not accommodate a much larger cartridge.

You can read all about them on
http://www.legacysports.com/

This is what they look like when you take them out of the box

As you can see this one has been modified a lot.

Hey, that's Mini #3! Almost didn't recognize it.

The black stock was gooeyer and had plenty of holes...

I like the concept. Not all single shots have to be falling blocks! I'll bet it's a treat to carry. GD

The rifle turned out better than I anticipated, MBs profiling made the rifle very sleek and lost some weight too.

Of coarse the dip is kinda cool and the missing magazine box loses a little more weight and makes it look more like a sporting rifle than a battle gun.

I have everything ready to go to the range for a test run, the rain has stopped and the weather is some warmer, but I'm a little under the weather so it may not happen.

The single shot thing works OK around here,
One shot is about all we get and I don’t like the idea of loaded rifle in the truck.

Thanks to all who worked on it and if you are interested in something similar I highly recommend them.

The stock just back from the dipping.
