I am looking forward to reports as well. Looks like a nice scope series. I have a friend at Vortex ....Japanese made glass and tube etc. should be a darn nice series. He said Vortex was targeting all the high end models from European makers etc. Tall task. I hope it is nice. I'm putting together a 6 mm creedmoor right now that is going to need some glass. These are on the short list for sure to take a look at. I have a Viper HS 2.5-10-44 on a custom 25-06 that has been flawless. Decent glass and functions well. Thinking that earns them a look see on my latest toy. We are so lucky in this day and age with the number of choices we have.

looking at the 3-15x42 for my 300 weatherby. If it has similiar glass to the 1" tube high end Euros and more robust then I am in the market for it.

I have had the 2-10x42 for about a week now but haven't had much time with it. I have it mounted and shooting on paper but haven't had a chance to dial it in yet. Glass is good but what I'm really liking is the G4 reticle.

+1 please keep us posted, the only reason I haven't bought one is the reticle tho just leary as I had a Viper HS with BDC reticle I thought was too fine.

brumfield do you think that reticle will be good in low light?

Seems to be a little thicker than viper but like all hash marks I've tried they seem to loose out in last light

The dot instead of cross hairs is what I really like

Interesting the different reticle and "dot" is what has held me off of a purchase, maybe it would work well.. Does the dot seem large/obvious enough for lower light shooting to you?

I took it out today and kept up with the time and the dot and hash marks depending on background disappear with 10 mins of legal light left but the way the reticle is the heavy duplex of the cross hairs will still allow a good shot to still be taken right at last light

Thank you very much! Buying a scope without being able to see one in field conditions is like buying shoes without getting to try them on LOL I really appreciate your reply.

Wonder what they sacrificed from their tactical line to lighten them up? All the other manufacturers make a 1-6 under 18 ounces but the Vortex 1-6x24 is 25.2 oz. Now suddenly they have a 1.5-8x32 that weighs just 13.4? Did they machine away all the extra metal or leave out a bunch of glass?
