i bought 3 days ago a franchi affinity, great shooting gun had lots of fun shooting skeet with it but I noticed i had hard time reaching the triger with my figer, right away i thought it was a lenght of pull problem but after looking into it i seen that it is the pistol grip is to far back and i can get the tip of my finger just long enough to shoot .
its not much of a problem now but with a couple of layers on on a cold day then i would have problem to shoot. Is there somthing i can do to adjust this ?

My daughter has been shooting one since she was 10, you must have really small hands. LOL

Sorry I couldn't resist.

My buddy has been shotgun shopping for a bird gun for the past few months and his complaint is always that on every gun he picks up he can't reach the trigger because of his little smurf hands. He found the Affinity and the Super Nova fit him pretty well though.
Does yours have shims installed between the stock and receiver?

yes its got 1 shim from the factory. I do not know if its part of the stock or not but it seems there is another peace of plastic that it is about 1'' long in between the pistol grip and the receiver

It may be worth getting the rest of the shims from Franchi if you don't already have them (I think it should have come with 4 or 5) and see if trying different ones will get you closer to the trigger.

Xbolt, It sounds like shims have already been installed to adjust the cast and drop. I'd take the stock off and try removing or reversing a shim(s) and see if that helps.

would it be worth removing the current shim in place to gain 1/32'' closer to the triger?

Thought you said above there was a 1" spacer. Best you can do is take the stock off and try it.

I have the exact same problem with the Affinity. I can just barely reach the trigger with my finger. I don't think I could own one because of that...there are so many other great shotguns out there that don't have such a long reach.

T-rex arms?

Take it apart if you can see stock shims & spacers.

I have one that I use duck hunting and loan out on our trap team with no complaints.

You shouldn't have "shims" - you should have a "shim" (singular). You need a short 15mm socket and a couple long 3/8" socket extensions to remove the stock (after removing the 2 wood screws that hold the buttpad.

See https://sites.google.com/site/hobbyhintstricksideas/Home/franchi-affinity-stock-adjustment for more info.

I've never had trouble reaching on the Affinity.

Is there a chance that you have all of the shims from the entire kit installed all at once? All of them stacked together might come close to an inch.

Please post a picture. I'm curious about this one inch piece of plastic.

I have two Affinitys, a 12 and a 20. I also have very short fingers. Haven't noticed the issue you have. Swapping shims shouldn't make a difference.
