I just got a FAT wrench and I wanted to know what the proper torque settings are for action screws on a Remington 700 BDL? Also on an ADL what about the small middle screw? I use synthetics stocks like McMillan, Brown & Hi-Tech. I have just always just hand tightened in the past, but would like to know how it supposed to be done?

There should be recommendations in the Fat Wrench instructions.

WBY is 65in lbs. Rear screw first then front. I do 35in then 65inlbs.

Is there a chart/listing somewhere on the web for screw order and then torque?

Some spelling errors can be corrected by a vowel movement.

HS Precision likes 65 inch pounds, I think to overcome any irregularities in fit between their aluminum bedding and the receiver.

Once an HS stock is skim bedded, assuring uniform fit, I don't think you need 65 inch pounds. 35-45 seems more than enough, IMO.

65 inch pounds is a lot of torque...

The small middle screw, tighten just enough to secure the front of the trigger guard. No more.

You can create problems cranking down on that screw.
