Last evening my wife and I cold smoked a couple of rib-eye steaks with oak.

Gave them a quick sear while cooking some shrimp.

As the steaks were resting tossed on some garlic toast.

Oak smoked Tatonka Dusted rib-eye, Buffalo Wing seasoned shrimp and garlic toast cooked to perfection courtesy of the Vortex... It was a fantastic meal!

It is a 6" tube smoker, you fill it with wood pellets and as it smolders it provides the smoke with very little added heat. They come in 3 different sizes and are available here - www.owensbbq.com/smokers-and-pellets.html

If you don't eat all of your steak there is always a chance for a Rib-Eye Omelette with green & red peppers, mushrooms and cheese in your future!

Love leftover omelette, but what kind of person doesn't push through the meat sweats and finish that steak?!

This recipe makes for some of the best garlic toast I have had!

Garlic Butter Spread

½ cup softened butter
1 tsp garlic salt
½ tsp parsley flakes
½ cup grated Parmesan and Asiago Cheese Mix well.

Spread on both sides of thick sliced French bread, or bread of your choice. Place on parchment lined pan and freeze. Taken frozen slices and package for meal sized servings.
