OP shortactionsmoker Campfire Tracker S Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 6,314 Western Kentucky	Next Saturday starts our turkey season and I'm really looking forward to it. I was on the back porch before sun up this morning. Lots of gobbles around. Some really close, some distant - but I heard enough to make me smile. My son turns nine today and this will be his first "real" season. He's hunted with me a few times, but he'll be a constant companion this year. That makes this season even better! I'll hunt with friends too. Probably drink a few beers and eat well for the next few weeks. I'm going to pattern a couple of guns today, load some more TSS, hang around with the birthday boy and cook a little with dad later. It's going to a good day...and another great season! I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

My son killed his first bird yesterday afternoon! That makes me happier than anything I'll do this season. He was super excited. It was a neat hunt and something I'll remember forever. I was all smiles too... I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!
