Not wanting to steal your thread, but who is Nigella Lawson?

Looks like she cooks and eats, too smile

I nearly bought a Westley Richard .500 for $3295.00 once. Then I considered having to hire Bob, and asked the question a 2nd time, "Are you sure that's the right price?"

It finally penetrated the salesman's head that decimal was one place off on the price tag. grin

I told my wife if Nigella ever offered it up, she goes on the auction block...

Nice rifle, what caliber? A double rifle is on my bucket list, unfortunately that bucket will probably be kicked over before the rifle ever comes.

Ambiguity of which 'she' you meant may have kept you intact.

If indeed you still are.

Anyone have any experience with Heym doubles? I saw a pre war one listed which was very nicely engraved. Caliber was 405 Win.

I certainly agree that today Wesley Richards is the best gun builder in England. About Twenty years ago I talked a good friend ( with a lot more income than me) into buying a very nice gold name WR droplock double in 425 for $3500 and about ten years ago helped his sell it for $8500. I shot it a few time and wished I had purchased it.

Beautiful double. Above my pay grade though.

On the other hand. When you're my age a good cook is about as good as it gets.

My first wife was a looker. When she died of cancer, it was time for a cooker. Now I'm gaining weight I didn't need but it's nice.
