Don't know if this has been posted yet but Tikka's website has full specs on the redesigned T3x.

Replaceable pistol grip to adjust the angle and a wider slip on forend
"Improved grip" - their words
New recoil pad
Foam insert in the stock to reduce noise
Wider ejection port to be easier to feed one round at a time
Improved rail attachment to attach a Picatinny rail
Last but not least, a metallic bolt shroud - that should get those fence sitters' wallets out! wink

1 MOA guaranteed with any model. Pretty neat interactive website, too.

http://www.tikka.fi/rifles/tikka-t3x#rifles

Btw, please spare me your diatribes about how much you hate Tikkas, I don't care. Just offering the information for those that may have been curious about the rumored changes.

Seeing the coolness of the Battue, I'm sure it isn't destined for our shores.

I had the same thought about the Left Hand Stainless 6.5x55 with set trigger that they have listed...

Also wondering if all of the permutations of the modular stock come with the basic rifle? Or, are they additional cost items?

That sporter looks bad ass and it appears to come in an 8" twist in .223.

The recoil lug is also steel in the T3x.

Is the laminated Sporter a euro-trash only thing?

I've never seen anything like that over here.

The sporter has been around for a while.

You just don't see a lot of them.

Around $1300-1400 street price.

A metal shroud, steel recoil lug and standard 8 twist for .223's would be welcome improvements.

Compare the pictures of the standard T3x Lite and the TAC model. The TAC has the steeper pistol grip and the slip on wide forend. Those are sold separately, you can see them in the Modular Stock feature. Looking forward to seeing these hit store shelves.

I don't have much experience with Tikkas. But a 6.5x55 is on my wishlist.

is the metal bolt shroud really important? or a solution to a non-existent problem?

Is the bolt shroud useable on the previous T3?

So I can buy a factory one in lieu of an aftermarket?

I believe I read that the shroud will fit the older version so I'm thinking some folks might want just the shroud. I have one T3 in 338 federal that I bought a metal shroud for off the tikka shooters web site. Does anyone know if these changes added to the price yet.......I'm thinking it did but have not seen anything yet!

I don't think info is official yet, but the dealers I spoke with were expected about a $50 increase. Which seems about right. No need to get a limbsaver, new lug on magnums, or bolt shroud. That's assuming Tikka does them right.

My dealer stated a $50 increase as well, though stressed it wasn't 'official' yet. Regardless, I think the improvements are worth it.

I think if you are a ham fisted bubba type tinkerer a plastic anything is a risk. Some think that it is a liability in very cold weather. I most likely will not be out in weather cold enough to make a polymer plastic brittle.
I have a T3 Hunter in 6.5 and it is a laser beam if I remember to pull my head out of my ass at the range.

Never been a Tikka fan, or liked DMs, but they've fixed about 90% of what I didn't like. Nobody's ever accused them of not shooting well. I could go for a stainless/walnut one, I think.

Wonder if you can top-load the new ones?

Question will be- What models will Beretta USA import to the USA? For lefties, it will be minimal as always.

Tikka could have sold way more of the previous models in the USA if they actually had a distributor that listed to the public and imported models that were in demand.

The magazines can’t be easily recharged from the top unless someone is especially dexterous but the website does say the ejection port has been widened a bit to facilitate single loading.
