Yes, factory stock.

Well Bob,

guess we get along so well because you have the same tastes as I do on what a REAL rifle is...

even tho I tend to use calibers much smaller than an 06 anymore...

Nothing like an old workhorse. This is a 1903-A3 that was inspected at Ogden Armory by Elmer Kieth...

Wonderful Bob... just wonderful...

Sadly my old eyeballs need that darn scope on top to see anything anymore...

ya know, we have a Back to the 50s each summer in our small town, that is well attended... on Saturday night the two north and south main streets are blocked off and they have a cruise for like 4 or 5 hours...

While folks love the 60s muscle cars as I do, my favorite local car is this:

Fun times John.

As for the 1903's, my grandfather worked at the 2nd street arsenal in Ogden. He moved from St, Anthony,ID to Ogden when the war broke out. He worked there from 1942 to 1974.

Anyway, he knew Elmer. Although I don't think that they were friends, just acquaintances. They were both from Idaho, and I guess they had similar back grounds in farming.

Back in those days, when I was just a kid and had no clue to who EK was. I'm sure that I read more than one of his articles.

Just how many gun writers had back grounds related to Idaho. O'Conner, Keith, Taffin ?

Anyway. Thanks for posting the pics of these grand old rifles.

$750.00 for a good one, won't last long. They are bringing $850.00 -$1000.00 and still selling for nice guns...

This is my latest toy. It was a NIB Browning Low Wall .44 mag until I got hold of it.

Now it's just a Low Wall .44.
