If I'm not mistaken, I read some time ago Tikka produced a T3 Superlite in 7mm-08. If this is true, does anyone know where I can find one?

Sportman's Warehouse has them in 7-08. Stainless with the standard black stock. I'm not sure if the other models with fluted barrels are offered in that cartridge.

They sure do:) This one came from Sportsmans Warehouse, Cabelas also has them but they charge I think $100 more for them and they are in a camo stock versus the black like a regular T3. Mine is silly accurate with 120 grain BT's, I did drop it in a McMillan Hunters Edge and like this rifle more and more.

Looks like they still have them in stock in several of their stores - not sure if any are near you??

6 lbs 12ozs with the DNZ mounts and Leupold Mark AR scope. The mounts are a little on the beefy side but OK, you could drop a couple more ozs going with the modified Talleys I think. Balance is really nice though IMHO.

I just purchased one from sportsmans wherehouse 2 weeks ago. I bought the 7 mag but they did in fact have a 7-08. I gave $699 plus I got a 5% military discount. The Cabelas right down the street from them offered the same rifle only in a camo version for $899. Yes, $200 more for the same rifle with the exception of it being camo. I would definately go to sportmans wherehouse if this is the rifle you want.

I am pretty sure Eric @ Whittaker's (campfire sponsor) can help you:

ericwhittakerguns.com

Just ask for the super secret Tikka list and tell him you're particularly interested in a lite 7-08.

He is great to deal with!

I'll have to do that, no Sportsman's Warehouse near me and I'm not paying Cabela's an extra $100 to save 3 ounces of weight on a rifle.

Thanks to all who replied.

Cabela's is actually $899, but they've been running sales lately. They also do not offer a 7-08. They don't have the same selection of calibers.

I saw Whitakkers is having a sale on their "old" T3's. They new T3x are coming out. I think SAS posted they should be getting the new models in today on a different thread.

From my experience the Tikka Super light's shoot great, mine was a Blued finish Bass Pro model in 30-06, this was using 168 TSX at 200 yards.

Not sure if you've checked with Eric, but...

...for clarity -- we don't carry the T3 Stainless SuperLite. That's a Sportman's Warehouse exclusive. Ours is a blue/camo SuperLite and was only chambered in 223, 260, 6.5x55 and 308.

It's been awhile since I purchased a set, but are you still doing the modified Talley's?

Yup. Have 30mm and 1" Lows ready to go. If you're thinking SWFA, jump! 30's have been a pain to find.
