A while back I fired a Buffalo Bore 147 grain +P hard cast flat point Outdoorsman out of a Glock 43. The round veered to the right after exiting the 6th jug. I redid the test using a Glock 19 to see if the longer barrel made a difference.

It was too windy to chronograph, but I guess I don’t really care. (BB advertises 1083 muzzle velocity out of a Glock 19.) The test of the same round through the Glock 43 can be found here. As you will note, the slight increase in barrel length made a difference in the results.

I wish somebody had a big critter skull to fire this round through!

interesting results. The Federal 147 grain Federal HST is supposed to be good as well but I don't know its velocity.

Hard cast flat points, semi or full wadcutters are surprising, to me anyway. Last week I watched my kid put a Federal 158 grain lead semi-wadcutter, standard load 38 Special through 5 jugs and gone out of a S&W 442, >2" barrel. When they go they mean it.

Update. 5 shot Oehler 35 chrono results from Gen 4 Glock 19: Average 1058 fps; high 1071; low 1043; ES 28; SD 11. As noted in the first post, Buffalo Bore advertises 1083 fps MV from a Glock 19. I consider my results to be within normal limits of that.
