Shrapnel,
How are you getting along with your new knee?
Obviously your out enjoying yourself. Is it hard
to walk or hike on uneven ground?
My Doctor tells me that I need areplacement and
you are the only Hunter that I know that has one.

Thanks Mark

Must have strutted in front of the ammo truck....

Nice one.

I got to enjoy an excellent display of two toms hottin and trottin for the ladies the other day. Just shameless, out in the open field. The toms were so focused on hormones, they were oblivious to everything else.

One was purple, the other pretty bright red and purple, both had good beards and spurs. Beard ends looked to be no more than about 4 inches off the ground.

And no, the Big Gun Telephoto Camera was on the wrong end of the property.

It has been 3 months since the surgery and although I am frustrated with how long it takes, the therapist says I am doing great. What I thought would be weeks to get better is actually months. I need to resign myself to the fact that 6 months to a year is normal recovery.

I am able to walk well, though I am not doing any hiking or long walks. I don't have any pain in the knee other than extreme stretching and mostly a certain amount of stiffness related to scar tissue and the necessary therapy to overcome that.

I am confident it will be better soon, I know I wasn't going to get better in the condition it was in previous to the surgery, I just have to be patient and let the healing and therapy do it's job...

My boy's bird last year.

Still no long beards this year in range of the 870 yet. Don't shoot jakes, but I might have to rethink that position if I want the skillet full. There is one jake here so dumb that that he comes in every time to the same spot. He is really asking for it.
