Same things I put in it for September Caribou on a Squirrel River tributary or a spring hog hunt in deep south Texas.

No idea on Nambia. For the mountains where I don't plan on being out overnight. - Space Blanket - Waterproof lighter (I have one of those torch lighters) - About 10 feet of paracord - Flashlight or headlamp - Couple of powerbar like munchables - Nalgene bottle of water - Stocking cap/gloves And obviously the stuff that is with me on any hunt - Knife(s) - Binos Stuff I didn't need but has now become kinda mandatory - reading glasses - cell phone (For the camera and if in range the weather radar) - GPS - if I'm in unknown country - otherwise it stays home.

Pretty much my list, too, but I just can't leave camp without a compass. My old Suunto goes with me everywhere.

I put a super heavy-duty trash bag in royal blue color (easier to spot than orange in most conditions) instead of the space blanket.
I can get inside, put a little hole in the side for visibility and breathing (DON'T stick your head out of a hole in the top!), hunker down and keep my entire body and my rifle dry in a rainstorm. Space blankets aren't that fast and easy to use.

I always have a ziplock bag of clean cotton rags. They usually get used on my foggy eye glasses. I also usually have a chocolate bar.

This and I have a very small thermos of coffee. And for Namibia aside from fire, compass and knife on my person, I pay for a Gunbearer

Empty Bud Light can refilled at our spring on the property then tightly resealed with duct tape. It works.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Years ago, when I was at the Post Graduate School in Monterey, we used to go partridge hunting at Fort Ord. Wife would drop me off, go to the commissary, then pick me up. One afternoon when she picked me up she asked; "honey how come you're only wearing one sock?" a piece or two of paper towels have been in my pocket ever since.
