What's some good load data for short barreled (18 inch) 140 and 120 7mm08 loads that would give good speed?

Just look up the same data that gives good speeds in a standard length barrel. That's what will do it, I'm not being glib.

What powders do you have on hand?

I personally shoot 145 Speer BT's on the lands in my 20" 7mm-08 and get 2,700fps with H4350 (a grain under H's listed max). Several folks here get good speeds with Big Game and CFE223, using 120gr bullets.

I've got some IMR and H4350. I thought that might be on the slow side for 18 inch barrel..

That's some misinformation that gets spread around. Except for extreme examples, which yours isn't, the powders that do best in a 24" barrel will be the ones that do best in a shorter one.

42.0g of IMR 4895, Rem brass, speer 130g BTSP, REm 9 1/2, bullet touching the lands.

Shocking accuracy out of many Rem 700's, and the 130g Speer BTSP is a bullet worth building a rifle around. This load has converted MANY 7/08 shooters to the 130g Speer BTSP.

This exactly.

Load for it just like any other 7-08, just expect lower velocity and more blast.

What kind of performance on game do you get from those speer 130gr?

Mule Deer's "loads that work II" show 47.0 to 50.0 grs of H4350 with 140 gr. bullets I would start there.

When ever I read something I want to store or recall. It gets filed in a binder.

42gr of Varget, Hornady 139gr SST, CCI 200 LR Primer, Remington 308 case (resized), Winchester 70 22" barrel. Avg speed 2875 fps. Accuracy and consistency are wonderful

No pressure signs in 2 of the exact same model 70s

A 120 Ballistic Tip with 45 grains of Varget is hard to beat.

I've always used 41.0 grains of 4064 with a 140 grain Ballistic Tip. It's given me outstanding accuracy out of my custom model 7...in the twos at a hundred yards without fail. It dumps deer every time and is mild enough for a child to shoot.
