Political Correctness and propaganda strike again! Item #187 of how the Left manipulates everything it touches to facilitate their agenda, regardless of whether it actually helps: No longer are we using the term “convicted criminals”. Apparently, it’s harmful for these delicate little snowflakes who are the real victims of their crimes. Instead, according Breitbart these felons “justice-involved” criminals individuals are getting help from the Department of Justice to avoid the consequences of their crimes with this very intentional identity makeover.

Breitbart reports that the DOJ is all over shoving this idiom down everyone’s throats in order to enable criminals to obtain jobs and housing once they’re out of prison. Along with the new preferred term, the DOJ is piling $1.75 million of taxpayer money to social organizations that support such programs. As Attorney General Loretta Lynch put it, “by helping justice-involved youth find decent jobs and stable housing after they return home, these critical grants provide a foundation for a fresh start and offer a path towards productivity and purpose.”

Notionally, it seems perfectly reasonable that people who made a mistake in the past would simply like the chance to rebuild their life the right way. I’ve got no objection to that, in principle. Unfortunately, that’s not really what’s going on here. Let me break it down:

PC strikes again. It is both more accurate and more important to refer to criminals as just that. We know exactly who they are and where they come from. There is no rehabilitation without acknowledging your past and if society is being forced to look the other way, hey maybe my history of rape or armed robbery isn’t such a big deal. The term “justice involved” is intentionally vague and uncertain. It’s also somehow condescending to both the convict and the rest of society. The more platitudes the Left can invent, the further they think they can move the definition of things to whatever they prefer. Vagueness is the key starting point for all that. Additionally, if you’re some Neanderthal who still calls them criminals, you’ll out yourself as being a bigot and waayyy behind the times. Also, it’s worth mentioning that this all came about during “National Reentry Week” which is apparently a thing. Yep, felons get their own commemorative week.
Like the Left’s sprint to give every illegal immigrant they can find voting rights, this is simply a desperate ploy to increase the number of likely Democrat voters. There’s not a single real principle being fought over here. Sure President Obama can couch this as about rehabilitation but, like fellow Leftist (and my Governor, sadly) Terry McAuliffe’s unilateral move to restore convicted criminal’s voting rights, this is all about whoring out their philosophical heritage for votes wherever they can scrounge them up. The Left may have always been light on the concept of personal responsibility and facing consequences, but thanks to ‘ol Barry in the White House the Left thinks they can practically smell Utopia. No Democrat fought for giving rapists and thugs the same democratic power as productive, law-abiding citizens just like no Democrat suddenly shed tears over transgender bathrooms until it became politically and socially profitable for them to do so.
As Breitbart reported, National Reentry Week and the 2007 Second Chance Act enables President Obama and the DOJ the ability to expunge or seal the criminal records of adult felons as old as 24. We’re not talking teens who wen joy riding on prom night, we’re talking grown men who’s potentially violent past and character traits would be hidden from potential landlords. Clash Daily previously reported that Obama is forcing landowners to rent their private property to criminals whether they like it or not.
And in the end, that’s what it’s all about: government centralization by stealing the rights of the individual. Because the Left believes a better society exists just over that hill. And hey, isn’t that worth a little propagandizing and bullying in the end?

Another example of re-structuring societal norms to erase any semblance of normalcy. This sets the stage to advance a wide open agenda where anything goes and is acceptable.
Convicted criminal is part of DOJ's commuting at least 50k federal prisoners sentences for early release.
The first installment was done in Oct. '15 of 5,000 federal drug dealers - both at street and medium level. Many had weapons possession charges dropped or plead away.
ALL THIS POINTS TO THE DEMS INCREASING THEIR VOTER BASE.
