So what do you guys think for a 95 grain TTSX loaded in Hornady cases, using Fed small rifle primers. Benchmark or H322 I found loads on Hodgdon wesite for a 90 or 100 grain with max of 31 or 30 grains but nothing for a 95, I would just use 29 grains to start with either I guess. I have both, but Barnes bullets list neither in the load data for the 95TTSX.

Split the difference and work your way up. Most of the data I've tried has been on the weak side and for the SAAMI chamber, not the SPC II.

Use pri mags and you can run the 95 coal out a bit.

Of those two powders I'd run Benchmark to start with.

Its what I run with 85s in my 6/6.8.

I have no clue the load anymore but benchmark was giving around half inch or so groups right off the bat.

I'm not a fan of 322 or 335, or of any AA ball powder.

I will give the benchmark a whirl I was shooting 85's with a max charge of H322 but it was nothing to write home about.

When we quit shooting competition, benchmark was coming on and was getting popular. FWIW. I have no clue if that continued or not.

Can you get your hands on 10X?

It works really well with the 95TTSX for me.

My Wilson combat barrel/stag bolt combo seems to like the 95TTSX with 30 grains of Benchmark in once fired Hornady cases. Developing loads I did not shoot 10 per group.... shooting yesterday 3 shot groups and got two consecutive 3 shot groups in the same place at about 1 MOA on the paper at 100 using a Leupold 1-6 VX6 and quartering those stick on 2 inch red bulls eyes. The gun is 7 pounds 6 ounces with sling and shoots better hand held rather than resting on the bags. I am thinking a relatively light weight 10 shot .250 savage like device with this load. Its a bit lighter now with the VX6 than it was with the Kahles 50 mm objective scope.

A lot of good proven loads in that link.

1) 30 grains AA2200, SSA, CCI 41, and 2.295" OAL, no crimp

2) 29.5 grains RE 10X, SSA, CCI 41, 2.295"

3) 28.2 grains Re 7, SSA, WSRM, 2.295" (ETA: that target shold say "2.295" OAL)

think the 30 grains of Benchmark will do me for a while, I will see if it busts thru a deers shoulders in the fall, meanwhile it will not shoot thru a 10 inch diameter pine tree just wanted to check for those that can shoot thru those 10 inch diameter pine trees with an M1 Carbine. grin

no way it won't go through a shoulder....

I've run an 85 in a necked down to 6, over 200 yards out on a big doe and broke a shoulder going in, and it was under the hide in the rump before it stopped...

RE AA powders, biggest junk out there used to be, but now JB claims they are getting things right... I still have it for them though since they caught me pants down with numerous 8 pounders once that were not worth pissing on vs the burn rate of the old lots....
