Anyone running the latest Ford diesel? Would love to hear the good and the bad. My 99 7.3 is getting tired and starting to nickel and dime me and I got hit in it the other day.

My Dad has an '11 model F250 CC SB 4x4 with the 6.7 and my uncle has an '11 super cab shortbed with the same 6.7. Neither of them have had a lick of trouble and they both love them.
I drove Dad's from OK to SD and back and was impressed with the quiet, the power, and the fuel mileage. It's quieter than my 04 F250 gasser and I think we averaged 17mpg. I personally feel 17mpg is pretty dang good for any 3/4 ton 4x4 though my gasser will do slightly better probably due to the 6 speed manual trans. The power is there any time you want it and it ain't in short supply, they pull a pair of stock trailers loaded with gear and ATVs to CO in the fall and set the cruise on 80 going through TX and the trucks act like they aren't pulling anything and get 15mpg doing it.
If I were in the market for a diesel the Ford would be the one I'd be buying.

Bought the 2015 6.7 CCSB Lariat Ultimate in November of 2014. Truck is a luxury beast. Running it all stock so far. Short trips around town 14.5mpg. Highway 21mpg. The guys who delete and tune do better

Wonder if Ford will ever fix its frame/bed flex issues? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwSsyHKUeMQ

Big fùcking deal. If my driveway looked like those ramps I'd still be looking at a Ford. Got anything productive to add about the 6.7? Or are you just gonna be an ass and troll this thread with more stupid videos?

Have an '12 Lariat, 90,000 miles. Great engine, great truck.Never been in shop. Engine pulls like no other. Averages 16.5 running around, maybe 10-12 towing. As previously mentioned, you're gonna need to 'bag it if you are going to tow heavy. 300-400 bucks and a few hours work.

I think the best places for information are the ford diesel forums. Diesel stop was mentioned. I like FTE - http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum205/I read a lot before buying.

I know its not first hand, but my oldest daughter rides horses. Really wish she found a cheaper hobby, but I digress. At their barn there are three of the 6.7 Powerstrokes and everyone that has one raves about it. The barn owner had a 6.4 before it and hated the truck. One problem after another. Her new 6.7 she swears by.
On a different note, one of my oldest friends works as a bridge contractor. His company has been switching from Ford to Ram. I have driven his CCLB 6.7 Cummins for several hundred miles and plan to get one next year. I would defiantly look at those if I was in the market.

I have a 2012 F350 crew cab, swb, srw, 4x4. Only problem with it was an EGT sensor failed. Ford towed it in, had it fixed in an hour! They're a known issue, just got a letter stating they extended the warranty on the sensors to 125k miles.
I've gotten as high as 20mpg on a 1,000 mile round trip running 65-75mph.
They are NOT made for running around town, short trips, etc - will f'up the emissions stuff and you will have problems. Needs to get hot and burn all the crap outta the DPF frequently. Most issues I've heard of on these trucks is service trucks where they are run mostly short trips, idled a lot, etc.
Towed a 13.5k lb 5th wheel with mine - like a champ! And no soft rear suspension on the F350 - no bags and 3500lbs on the pin set it level.
I'd never own another Ram. Cummings is a helluva diesel engine, but Dodge screwed me too many times on my previous 2500 - no more for me personally.

Thanks for the help fellas. Sounds like Ford has a pretty good thing going. Still trying to decide if I'm gonna go new or just pour more $$ at my 7.3 as she's been really good to me.
