Nice! My elk was slated for the master bedroom or bonus room upstairs. However, it doesn't fit up the stairwell, so it keeps me crowded company in the office!

I am seriously thinking of looking into having the antlers converted to removable, but need to pay off a few things first. Taxidermy is one of the reasons my wife would like for us to build a house. Basement with 9-10' ceilings would be nice...

Its going to be really hard to get detach antlers done well at this point.

But I was just gonna say, I"ll never do anything big again without... even caribou.

Working on mounting my moose and it took a number of hours of messing around to get the detach antlers done. Finally finished that last night so I can move on with mounting next weekend.

The are never going to be super tight but the ability to move the head through doors and such is worth it.

Originally I thought the hide was so nice and the bull was big bodied, if I ever killed another that was bigger, I"d just cut the antlers off and swap em to the old mount... I don't see that being all that possible in hindsight, but one could try anything once.

Nice mounts all around.

We don't have a single wall over 8 feet and never will likely.

Moose gonna look funny hanging low and all, but we are ok with it.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Between $400 and $500 depending if it's a pedistal or not

I hid my 110V outlets

Dang I need to shop around for a new taxi, I've paid nearly $700 for my last couple mulies/flagtails and $1300 for my bull.

Pointer,
Did you try to thread your bull through an upstairs operable window? Start with one branch, rotate head through followed by the other branch. Kinda like getting a big recliner thought a door. Just a thought....

My second Elk has detachable antlers. Made hanging him up non-life threatening.

When this guy gets home he will stir up the wall quite a bit

I have another 28 ft wall that will get all 10 of my African mounts as they get done at about 2 per year

45" inside spread wall pedistal will eat up some room
