I'd post the beach party pics I took 2 hours after the first post, but photobucket is AFU. Again. Won't let me copy IMG to post the pics I took and uploaded last night.
The folks with the campfire on the beach by Crowleys looked like fun.
The boys in their bermuda trunks on the ice flow just looked cold. Air temp was all of 45 degrees, too. With a 5 knot wind off the sea, some of which still had fast-ice on the sandbars.
Shoot- it was the nicest winter we've had in the 6 years I've been in Kotz, even.... really no call to go postal about an open flowing channel.
Or maybe there is...
