I have a composite stock that needs some "freshening up". Who do you guys send your stocks to for paint? Also I've seen a couple places that offer hydro dipping for stocks. Have any of you had that done and what's your thoughts?

I have one rifle that has been dipped. Looks pretty good.

A can of Krylon is a whole lot less expensive.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Must be everyone does the DIY rattle can job. Was hoping someone did something more durable (and better looking than I could do). Will have to look into the hydro dipped a bit more. A couple places offer it for less than $100.

Hydro looks cool, but isn't all that durable. Might look into Cerakote if a sold color will work.

For a stock, duracoat is the best bang for the buck imo.

Recently had one hydro dipped. Looked like crap. $100 down the drain. Already started sanding it off, going to stencil it and hit it with Alumahyde. When done right, alumahyde dries hard as a rock.

Hydro Dip DIY is easy. Follow with flat clearcoat and it's as good as the paint on a new car.

Marlin did stock, I did metal and scope

Savage did the stock, I did metal & scope (Stocks are the easiest to do)

Now sir what's your beef ?

Please be specific, not general slurs.

Who have I cheated ? Who have I called foul names and posted insulting photos of ? Of the dozens of items I bought here, who was unhappy with the deal ?

Finally, as it happened before you joined, do you even have any idea (again specifics) why banned ?

His work is TOP NOTCH. His prices are reasonable. Single colors and webbing are under $100. Camo goes up proportionally.

Here is my tikka. Krylon camo, in tan. I sanded the stock lightly with 220 and wiped it down with acetone. Also thought about doing spiderweb on it. For Now it looks good for me.
Hardest part is waiting 7 days for full cure.
