Just curious about them. I always liked the 1300 better than the 870 or the 500. I was looking at the winchester site and in the specs it shows the bore and chamber being chrome lined, and for only 399! I would kinda like to have a 20 ga but don't want to spend a grand or more on an auto. What are your likes and dislikes?

Troy I've always been a 870 man. But I bought one of the Winchester SPX pump models in 12 ga as a spare gun 3 years ago, to keep at the Ranch or to use as a loaner when I take someone dove hunting that does not have a shotgun. I've been very impressed with it, so far, and the action is slicker than goose shiitt.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Have not looked at the 20 ga version, but a add I got from Cabelas has them on sale right now for $50 bucks off regular price.

I shot one while during a fall dove hunt last year. The action is crazy slick and I shot very well with it. I would certainly recommend one if it fits you.

They go for $299 at the local Academy. I have not shot one, but I like the smooth action of it compared to the Remington 870 Express. I have no idea of the durability since production moved to Turkey, but if quality did not suffer it would be a good utility gun.

If you're talking the SXP, I bought one in synthetic 12ga, when they had them on sale for $299.00. Very nice action, good grouping, but holy crap the recoil. It really beat me up, and I've been shooting pump shotguns all my adult life. I sold it to a rancher, who was very pleased with it.
I had a win 1300 20ga for many years, that was a great dove and grouse getter. Kinda regret selling THAT one.
