Well to do Dems don't want to pay Bernie's taxes either. The powers that be don't want Bernie to have the nomination, but running anyone else at this point would be a complete sham.
The D's are in a tight spot.
Elizabeth Warren would be their best bet, but then they would have thrown out the entire primary process and all of the voters who participated. If it is anyone bet Bernie, they will be competing with 60% or less of their supporters, and the 40% who support Bernie will be fit to be tied. They don't have a good move to make at this point... and I'm just fine with it.

Wonder if the White House has let it be known that it's time for Hillary to go. I doubt they would turn on her without a clear signal from the Democratic machine. You know Obama had to know what was in the State Dept report for at least a week. I really wonder if she will be on the ballot in November. I still believe there was a good reason [b][color:#3333FF]Obama met with Sanders[/color][/b] back in January. I think Obama told Sanders what was going on and if Sanders could stay in the race and be competitive, he would eventually get the Democrat party backing he needs..

If Hillary crashes and gets replaced by a Biden-Warren ticket, some of the Berners will be placated by the inclusion of Warren, who's their dream-girl. Some will just stay home like disaffected Republicans, and some, maybe 10-30%, will vote for Trump.
Rush had figures for the Trump crossover, but I don't recall the exact numbers.
Hillary out and Bernie in is the worst-case scenario possible. He's got lots of worshippers.
