Fortunately we have amassed a great resource of .44 magnum information here on the fire:

Best load for a crowded pistol range full of striker fired peashooters is 30 grains of 296 behind a 180 grain jhp. Makes the partition walls flex.

...one of my all-time favorite loads...

For me a bear load for a 29 would be a 240-280 Keith/LBT hardcast at 1200-1300 fps...

That's about the only time I like to shoot one of my .454 Casulls! The concussion alone makes the others a bit flinchy!

Not a .44 but I was at the range with my new .500 S&W with, IIRC, 350gr JHP's over 41gr of H110 and after the first cylinder heard some commotion behind me and turned around to find every person in the place was standing behind my stall wanting to see WTH was going on.* Offered one guy a chance to shoot it and he reacted like I was about to hand him a live cobra.

Big pistols do rather freak out those not used to them.

*I have to admit indoors I can't just use earmuffs and have to include plugs when shooting the .500...at least with full on loads.

If there's one thing I've become certain of it's that there's too much certainty in the world.
